Redefining Vacation for myself

Thank you Merriam Webster
Vacation: Etymology: Middle English vacacioun, from Anglo-French vacacion, from Latin vacation-, vacatiofreedom, exemption, from vacare
Date: 14th century
1 : a respite or a time of respite from something : intermission
2 a : a scheduled period during which activity (as of a court or school) is suspended b : a period of exemption from work granted to an employee
3 : a period spent away from home or business in travel or recreation

I no longer want vacation to be a time where I make decisions that are bad for my body. This vacation I have basically kept my routine and I feel good. Today I woke up at 7:30, laid in bed and chatted with my unusually chatty husband, ordered oatmeal from room service, did my breathing and meditation and then went to a yoga class. It is always fun to go to a new yoga class. This was a flow yoga class in a hot room. Nothing like a new yoga class to remind you how inflexible you still are! It was great fun and left my body tired and feeling good. We went to lunch and I had brown rice with beets and carrots. I am reserving the right to have breakfast tonight after the show, french toast yum! I think that I should be able to retain my 75/25 ratio with no problems. We had a lovely afternoon. Did my afternoon meditation and took a nap with my husband. My body feels a little sluggish from the nap. I know better but an afternoon cuddle with my hubby was too much to resist. It is Valentines weekend afterall:) Plus I am hoping it will help me get through the concert tonight. I am notorious for leaving concerts early, we shall see when my french toast starts calling my name.
